Slacker!
So the blogging has slowed down. It’s hard to keep the every day pace up. I’ve felt really busy but I can’t really pin point anything that has caused that. I have house projects galore now. I can’t stop thinking of things I need to do. Number one on my list now is I have to remodel the guest bathroom. Yes, I have to. Soap dish has fallen off a number of times and there is a hole in the wall. Needless to say, a LOT of water has gotten in the wall and I haven’t taken care it yet. I hope it’s not unmanageable. So tonight I’ll be tearing down all the tile and maybe tearing some of the wall down and see how bad the damage is.
It’s bad and good at the same time. It’s bad because it’s a lot of work and it’s kind of urgent now and it’s not cheap. It’s good because that bathroom needed to be redone, I’ve always wanted to learn how to do that and remodeling a bathroom is one of the most valuable things you can do for your home. I’ll try to keep updated on the progress with pictures even!
Another task that I have no idea when I’ll get to is re-staining my kitchen cabinets. This is in no way urgent. I just really want to do it because it would make such a huge difference in my kitchen. Constance has been re-staining my kitchen table. I can’t believe how good it looks and it’s not even done yet. Now I just want to re-stain everything because of the vast improvement it makes.
Meanwhile, on the rest of my list is, painting my bathroom, putting a fan in my bathroom, improving the attic’s insulation, redoing the stones in the backyard, finishing the baseboards, painting all the bedroom doors, planting gardens and color theming my room. Yeah, that’s a lot of stuff and I know I missed some things. But you know what? I’m excited about doing all of them. I only wish I had the time and money to do them all quickly.
Owning a house and working on it has been so great. I’ve always wanted to learn how to do all this stuff and I finally do!
